A King's Story
by
Kathryn Hise-Muehlheausler

A King’s Story by St. Louis author Kathryn Hise-Muehlheausler depicts the search
by Gaspar, youngest of the three kings- the Magi, and his servant Raheeb to
discover “if the man has fulfilled the child’s destiny.”  The quest is to find the
person that the stars led them to 30 years earlier.  Their adventures intertwine
with the fictional brother of Dismas “The Good Thief,” the evangelist Matthew,
and finally with Jesus himself.

In John 20:30, he wrote:  “There were many other signs that Jesus worked…but,
they are not recorded in this book.”  As Muehlheausler finished the last chapter,
she worried that, “My computer would be struck by lightning, and I would be
sizzled.”  Only minutes after she completed the first draft with her concerns at
their height, she drove past a sign outside a neighborhood Lutheran Church
that stated, “Through you the Gospel is spread.”  This new author notes, “I
always receive similar peace and help as I work on anything related to this book.
My hope is that my readers will experience a similar peace.”

“A King’s Story is a beautifully written tale which incorporates a wonderful weaving
of Biblical characters.  Muehlheausler’s attention to detail and obvious research help
to firmly construct a truly captivating, inspirational adventure for the reader to
embark upon.”

John 20:30
Below are two quickly-written, from-the-heart statements by two different soldiers stationed at Ft.
Leonard Wood, Missouri.  Staff Sgt. Hart, who wrote the first comment, initially called out to me one
evening as he quickly passed my book-signing table, “Your book is awesome.”  On my last day for
signing copies of my book A King’s Story he stood in front of me, took off his three combat medals,
and presented them to me in tribute to what my book meant to him.  One of the medals was earned
during his Iraq tour in 2006.  I am humbled and exceedingly proud that my book touches individuals
in this manner.

reading this, I will say:  I loved reading A King’s Story.  Thanks."
