As early as grade school, it was always clear to
Kathie Hise-Muehlheausler that she enjoyed writing.
Officially, her writing career began as she worked
her way through college and became the Editor of
Medical Center Publications at Saint Louis University.
Graduating Magna Cum Laude from SLU, she followed
another love, teaching. Years later, on two separate
occasions while driving to work, the idea for this novel
came to her. The second time, she decided to find a
Bible for research and to read The Robe to immerse
herself in the historical period. At noon that day, she
walked up to the center table in the public school
library where books were being given away to teachers:
Side-by-side lay both books.
