"There were many other signs that Jesus worked…but, they are not recorded in this book."

The first time that I read A King's Story, I was traveling to participate in a volunteer
mission trip to Mexico. I identified with the main character who was also on a
journey to find fulfillment and to follow his heart on a quest. I read it as an epic
novel and found it very rewarding.
The second time I read the book was during Holy Week. I found, this time, that
both Gaspar, the main character, and I were actually on a pilgrimage to calm a
restless spirit. The novel helped me clearly to see, that as St. Augustine writes,
"our hearts are restless, until they rest in Thee."
Muehlheausler has written a gem in which her faith comes alive through each
character. Her use and knowledge of scripture, and vivid language, assists and
engages the reader to make the Paschal Mystery come alive. And in our own
journeying, we will find that Jesus Christ is, and will always be alive in our hearts
and in our lives.

A King’s Story is a book people will read over and over again, and it will mean
something different to them each time.

Kathie- I picked up your book at Reconciliation book store, and couldn’t put it
down! Just finished it… What a unique perspective! I can’t imagine the countless
hours of research and heart and soul that went into writing such a phenomenal
manuscript! I wish you the best…Keep on writing!

I know just where I’m going to carry this book in my knapsack—there’s a side-
pocket where it will fit perfectly.

I'm enjoying the C.D. I really appreciate your research and the way the Bible
stories are so much a part of the story. You have to know the bible to really
appreciate it.

A King’s Story is a quick, fun-read, but I cried at the end.

I finished your book Saturday night. What a creative and plausible premise to have
one of the king's return to discover "the rest of the story." I like your descriptive
writing style -- you create a very compelling atmosphere. What a great Holy Week
read! Kudos!

A woman from Springfield, Missouri, came by my signing table at Fort Leonard Wood to
buy a second book. A friend of hers wanted to read it, but she didn't want to give him
her copy of A King's Story "because I don't want to give mine away--just looking at
your book on my table makes me happy."
I read your book and it was absolutely wonderful! It made me think about things I
hadn't connected before. It was really inspiring. I mailed it to my Mother. She
received it on Holy Thursday and on Good Friday read the whole book. She absolutely
loved it too and had only meant to read a chapter or
two.

It was a great book. I hadn't read a book for years and I thought it would take me
weeks to read it. I had fun reading it. I'm going to take it home to my Mom, Dad and
Grandma for them to read.

What an amazing, awesome story! I loved it. What an amazing concept. It is so
probable that at least one of the 3 kings returned to look for Jesus. The servants too--
so highly probable. Wow! Thank you for listening to God.

A male soldier who strode up to me and shook my hand: I saw you last time you were
here, but you were talking to someone. I just had to stop by and tell you that your
book is wonderful. Thank you.
A female soldier called out to someone standing at my table: Buy it! I bought it for my
Mom, and she gave it back to me after reading it, and said that I had to read it. I did
and it's great!
An engineering soldier and future author strode up to me with hand extended: "Your
book is great!"
A mother in Alabama wrote and sent me a check for a book I had given her son who
seemed to need it at the time we were talking: Thank you so much for giving your
book to my son. It meant a lot to him and strengthened his faith. I read the book also
and it is wonderful! I am going to give it to our church library so others may have their
faith strengthened.
